Did anyone make their own Christening Invites?

If so, can you post a picture?
And was it easy?

Re: Did anyone make their own Christening Invites?

I made my own wedding invites. I am pretty sure they are in my album in LIW-same screen name-I'm not too exciting. It was easy once the design was down. I made them because I couldn't really find what I wanted. Let me see if i can find the pic
These are my programs which I made myself

This is a post that has a rough draft of the invite but it was different than that

Post

Basically if you have pretty paper, a hole punch, a paper cutter and some ribbon you can make very pretty ones. I'll help you if you want FM me. I love this stuffExternal Image

Wow I screwed up that post and by the way that pic was not planned-thank you leaopard dress lady!

Lisa,
That is gorgeous. If you don't mind me asking, how did you make it? Did you use a special computer program? If so which one? Thanks!

For both kids I got the invitation kits at AC Moore, wrote them in Word and then printed them. Sarah's had a ribbon and a cross charm on the top, Andy's has a cross embossed at the top. Sorry, no pics.

Its called Zapfino Linotype - we bought it for our wedding invites, and still love it.

We did - they looked similar to this except that they had an actual little metal cross to hang on the ribbon. We got them as a kit at Party City. You run the invites through the computer printer, add the ribbon and cross and you're done! They looked beautiful too. Sorry - I don't have any pics scanned into the computer.

I used a Kiddie Kandid's portrait of them in angel wings, inserted it into Word with a scripty font.

Lisa - your invite came out gorgeous!

Re: Did anyone make their own Christening Invites?

We didn't want to spend loads of money on the invite, so all we did was download a beautiful cross from clipart, and bought a wedding invite kit from michaels.

I centered the cross and I used a fancy wedding font, and went to verseit.com for wording. We printed them out in color from our own printer. We used Microsoft Word for everything.

For 50 invites it cost us 20 bucks and they came out beautiful! Sorry no pics!Chat Icon
