How long do you carry a bag for?

For the season, year, longer, shorter?

I know some people are really into bags, I just never have been, but I just realized my everyday bag has been the same for a whole year. Perhaps it's time for a new one?

i use an off white back from memorial day to labor day and then i will use either my Coach black bag from 2 years ago, or my Michael Kors pewter bag from last year for the fall/winter

Lately DH has been buying me a bag for my b-day since it is in Oct, but since baby is coming in November, i am thinking of holding off on a bag for this year.

Yeah too long.
Like way over a year.
I get a neutral color so it won't have to switched up for seasons or outfits.
But I tend to hang on to them way too long.
I'm not really a bag or shoe person.

i switch all the time, depends on where im going, what im wearing. but lately i have been loving my longchamp bag!

i switch weekly, sometimes daily depending on my outfit

I try to switch seasonally but will get lazy and forget to switch until midseason

I switch fairly regularly, maybe every few weeks? I have bags that I use more than others. I am on the search for a new fall bag though

Um, years.

I know to some people that is gross. But it's a very well made bag that has held up beautifully.

On the weekends I use a small coach bag that is big enough to fit my wallet, phone, and maybe one other small thing.

But my everyday bag I've had for years. It's black leather, and about 80% of the time I'm wearing black, so it matches more often then not.

I switch my bags up if I'm going out for the evening or to an event, but I've been predominantly carrying my Chloe Anthracite Paddy for the past 6 years now. That thing takes so much abuse and it looks just as good as the first day I got it! I still get compliments on it, which shocks me considering how "dated" it is.

I've been carrying my current bag for almost 2 years now and I still get compliments on it. I love bags, I just need to make sure I put them to good use for what they cost..

I'm in the market for a new bag now and I'm trying to rationalize spending a little more $$$$ (I have my eye on a Gucci) since I know I will carry it for a long time, but I'm having a hard time spending that much on one item when I could spend that same money on a weekend trip.

Years but I switch my bag depending on my outfit. I'd say I have about 5 bags that I rotate the most.

Too long I wish I could buy a new bag at least 1 a month!!!!

I keep my bags until they're falling apart! I don't buy very expensive bags though. I'd get bored wearing the same bag every day so I switch several times a week.

I have a brown leather and a black leather coach bag - I have been rotating them for YEARS.
EVery time i swtich - people compliment me on my "new" bag LOL

I guess I seem to be in the minority here, but I switch almost daily!!! Sometimes I'll get too lazy to switch out my wallet, etc.. so I'll just use the same bag for a week or so ... but typically I'll make the decision for which bag to use before I go out.


Am I the only one who does this? I really did think that was the norm!!!

ETA: .. ok .. I read through the thread a little more carefully rather than just skim through and I see I am not the only one!!

i have one bag that i use from april or may through september or so.
and then 2 that i use during fall and winter. one is brown and one is black/gray so it depends on my outfit.
i've had the brown bag since dec 06... and the other 2 for prob 2 or 3 years now
