Diaper bag and stroller are not considered a carry-on or personal item, right?
For the past few years, I try my hardest to pack light and not check luggage in. I swear one third of the time that I have flown prior to 2005, my luggage was delayed. I probably just had bad luck but since then, I try to limit my bags and carry on if at all possible. I just check luggage/boxes if I shopped and want to bring stuff back.
Am I crazy if I think that we can take everything we need without checking luggage?
We leave for the caribbean next week.
All of DS's stuff should be able to fit into 1 carry on and his diaper bag. Then DH and my clothes should be able to fit into the other carry on. DH can take a backpack as his personal item and I'll take a purse with all our toiletries.

Check the airline's website. I am pretty sure you are allowed one bag per child, and the stroller they take at the front and ticket it so it doesn't even come on the plane........

That is correct. If you have a lap child you are allowed one personal bag (purse), a carry-on and a diaper bag. Plus I always gate check both the stroller and the carseat and have NEVER had a problem.

With a baby you can do just about anything. We just flew a few weeks ago with DD and we had all this stuff to carry on with us...
-stroller (gate checked)
-car seat (gate checked)
-large diaper bag
-my purse
-carry-on duffle bag
-jeep carrier - like the bjorn
-nikon camera in it's own case w/ strap
-shopping bag with gifts
-blanket for DD
They didn't say one word about the number of carry on's we had (jetblue).

After the bombing incident all the TSA regs have changed again. I would review what is and isn't allowed in a carry on.
