Diapers

I dont want to overstock on diapers until I see what size she is. I feel she's going to be big, so dont want to waste my money on getting too many newborn diapers.

Right now I have 36 newborn
252 size 1
72 size 2

I figure I can take some from the hospital. Do you think I should I get any more before she comes or wait?

When Amazon had the diaper coupons in March I bought close to 800 diapers for about $15. 3 boxes of size 1 and 2 boxes of size 2. Once we go through those, we will switch to FuzziBunz, we are all set for like the first couple months.

I wouldn't buy anymore newborn sized diapers because you don't know if she'll even wear them. If she does, you will take a lot home from the hospital (just keep emptying out the bassinet every time you have the chance) and can always run out and get more.

Just FYI most hospitals use size 1 diapers and just fold over the top. I used newborn sized diapers for dd for about a month or so. And then size 1 for quite a few months. I don't think we hit size 2 for about 4-5 months and and I had a very big baby.

i definitely wouldn't buy anymore.

I used pampers or luvs for DS1. I hated huggies on him, he leaked every time.

DS2 was born 7/22/11 and leaks out of pampers swaddlers, but is great in huggies.

had I stocked up on diapers, I would've likely bought pampers, and I would've been out of luck!

hmm hard to say. you are prob good with the nb right now to see if she will fit in them and if she does you can send dh out to get more.
my ds started out in preemie diapers and has been in NB size for about 4 weeks now so we've def gone thorugh a lot of them
