Girls who see an RE

So this past cycle I started seeing an RE at IVF in Stony Brook and Melville. I decided to try one natural cycle before moving onto Clomid if this cycle was a bust. So I generally have long cycles that range from 36-60 days and they always run longer in the summer...last one was 49 days. The RE has been doing O monitoring and started on day 14 with a few hopeful folicles and measurements between 9mm and 10+mm with the largest measurement on the left ovary. Went back at day 18 and there was little change...no big shock since my cycles run long and with my m/c in March I O'd at day 30 for that PG. Went again today at day 20 and I have multiple follicles on both ovaries with one on my left at a 12mm and one at 11mm. The sono tech asked if I was on Clomid due to the # of follicles showing potential...told her no and said I'd prob have to come back in 2 days depending in bloodwork. I got a phone call earlier today and the nurse said that due to my estrogen level not increasing over the last two days...it actually went from a 43 to 40... that I should skip this cycle and go on progesterone to bring on AF. I am not ready to give up yet and they agreed to do one more test on Thursday but if little to no change they want to induce AF and start me on clomid...Have any of you been through this I am not ready to give up this cycle just yet.
