i'm pregnant and my sisters not
My older sister has been trying to get pregnant for over a year, we still haven't told them that i'm expecting. I'm kind of dreading it, i know they'll be happy for us, but i know how it will make them feel.
anyone have this type of situation.

I have never been in your shoes but it took me a while to get pregnant.... I think that your sister will be upset, of course- b/c she'll be a little jealous- but she could also be more upset that you are keeping it from her- my friends used to try to "protect" me and it made me even more upset- so i think honesty is the best policy.

I felt the same way, my sister and BIL were trying to get pregnant for a while and I felt bad whgen I got pregnant after 2 months of trying. When I told my sister this she said "don't be silly, I am so happy for you"...she is a wonderful sister  and I am sure your sister will be happy for you as well

My BIL & his wife have been trying for a long time. We did feel awkward telling them, but they truly were thrilled for us. I still try not to talk about it much around them (they live in Georgia and we don't see them much, but talk to them all the time.)

I posted something like this a few weeks back. My bro and sis n law had a miscarriage right after I found out I was preggo. I didnt tell them before so I first had to tell them a month after they were grieving. It was horrible. Honestly, I am 6 months now and I feel the tension all the time. I feel bad but there is probably nothing I can do except how they get preggo again. I dont get into too much baby talk with them.

I had this situation with a really close friend of mine. She had been trying for 2 years and well, we weren't really trying or preventing in any way. I felt soooo guilty having to tell her but finally did when I was 12 wks and when I did, she was genuinely happy for us. She ended up getting preggo the next week (when they finally gave up and stopped trying....go figure) 
You're family.....you're sister might have a twinge of jealousy, but she'll be happy for you!!!!
