What do you think of this Bedroom set?
I found this on CL, but I'm a little concerned it may be a little too ornate. I LOVE it but I'm worried about my DH thinking he's sleeping in a dollhouse.
What do you think?

Try this:
Open the page on CL, then right click the picture you want to show.
Click PROPERTIES and then copy the Address (URL).
Open a new window with this post and reply to it.
Click Insert Web Image (underneath the Emote-Icons on the left)
Paste the URL in the box and click OK.
Repeat with the next image you want to show.
Or, you can FM me the link to the CL ad and I"ll try.

i think in the right setting it would be very nice. i would be tempted to paint it a dark color and then give it a rough sanding around the edges and corners so the light wood comes through.

How big is the room? Do you have to use the whole set? The bed is gorgeous and the vanity would be a nice tie-in, but I think the set as a whole could be a bit much in a room that isn't huge. I could see myself loving an ornate set like that for a year, then getting tired of it.

I like it a lot. My dream bedroom would be like a garden retreat, with ornate furniture like that. Plus your DH will be asleep most of the time, so he won't see the furniture, LOL!

Thanks everyone- I got outvoted. DH said no. Jerk! He ruins everything!
I think it may have been a little much though for us anyway. ALthough I think its a beautiful set, its just a little too ornate.
I really do love it though...in another life maybe
