FET @ LI-IVF?
Has anyone done a FET there? Can you tell me a bit about the protocol?
I had a MC in June. After 2 failed attempts since then, I really don't have the energy to start dealing w/ ovulation predictors, scheduling sex, buying 6-8 HPT's pretending I see lines while knowing that AF is about to show.......BTDT and don't want to repeat it.
I have 8 frosties and am thinking about just going for a FET.
I'm sure some of you think I am nuts.

Re: FET @ LI-IVF?
I don't think you are nuts at all!!
I obviously don't go to LI IVF, but I can tell you what my protocol is for this FET.
I have been on the pill for the last two weeks and will be on it another 5 days. I will be on lupron starting tomorrow, for about 10 days.
Once I stop lupron, I will start delestrogen on Tuesday the 16th, and will use it Tuesday, Friday, the following Tuesday... and then depending on how my lining looks I may need to use it the following Friday as well.
Since I have lining issues, I will also be using viagra supps and vitamin e.
I know we'll be adding progesterone in the mix, just not sure when.
I hope this wasn't at all confusing- I got my calendar today!!
ETA: I haven't exactly gone through the motions of the protocol yet, but from what I can see it's soooo much more laid back than than a fresh cycle!!!!!!! No comparison, even!!!! I think the worst part so far is the waiting. I wish we could transfer tomorrow already. I went from being scared to just anxious already and I want them in me so I can hopefully just get pregnant and move on with my life!!!!!!!!!! (as though it was THAT easy!!! )

Re: FET @ LI-IVF?
Thanks Jackie! I guess I'll have to convince Dh to let me make an appt for a consult. I think I really want to be w my RE if I'm able to get pregnant again bc I have progesterone issues and like being monitored. So scary to be thinking about this, but Dh and are are talking about moving OOS in the next year or two so I guess I may as well take the plunge again.

Re: FET @ LI-IVF?
Well then that definitely makes sense!!
I am sure you are paying a fee to keep them on ice... Maybe that will help convince your DH You're paying the money to freeze them, may as well put them to good use!!

Re: FET @ LI-IVF?
I am currently in the 2ww after a FET at LI IVF. We also had 8 frosties left after an IVF 3 years ago which lead to our . There are 2 options for FET: With ovulation induction drugs or natural. I chose to do a natural cryo cycle. I was monitored with blood and sono up to ovulation. After ovulation I started some meds for a few days up to transfer: Medrol, doxycycline, baby aspirin. After transfer I am on progesterone and continue baby aspirin. Super easy compared to IVF. The most annoying part was the morning monitoring.
I will add that some blood tests and a water sono were required before starting the cryo cycle.
