Sex on Exact ovulation day?
So, I am wondering to get preggo do you need to have sex on your exact ovulation day. I keep reading that you need to have sex before ovulation and sperm lives inside you for a few days, etc. But because of my circumstances I am starting to doubt this. Last month I temped, got a smiley face, used fertility friend, etc. All signs pointed to me ovulating. Unfortunately, the day ff said I ovulated was the one day I did not have sex. What do you think? Do you think it's really pinpointing the ovulation day and having sex that makes the difference. I am wondering if it's not really 3 days that you are fertile, but just one.

I get a trigger shot to O and my RE told us to BD the two days after the shot. Not sure if that helps. I can't really do it before (planned at least) becsaue I never know when they'll decide I'm ready for the shot!

So far, this is 4th cycle of TTC, we missed  on the day I did O, did it before and after. This time we have be like crazy and Im waiting for FF to say I O'd but my CBEFM said peak yestarday and today and I think we hit it this time. We will tonight as well. So we shall see what happens this month

From what I understand, the number of actual fertile days depends on several factors- CM, sperm count/quality etc. I think with fertile CM and hearty sperm, you could BD days before O and get a BFP. For me, my two BFPs were from BD on O day itself. DTD days before never resulted in a BFP for me for some reason. HTH.

The optimal time to get pregnant is to have sex BEFORE you O... and most people dont know the exact time they O unless you have O pain... so as long as you do it before your chances are greater!

Once you ovulate that's it - you will have to get pregnant with the sperm that's still in ur body so it only helps to bd before you o

But the egg can live up to 24 hours, so BD the day of can work as well. It happened to me!

I always heard, and keep reading that a day or 2 before your O date is the best and then also on the day of. Just bc most women don't O on the day they think they O. And lots of times Ovulation kits are wrong too.

ita! i would def do it before and the day of..thats why when u get a positive opk they say do it for 3 days in a row
