It really depends on how long your cycles are. My cycles are pretty normal (around 26 days) so I start testing around CD8-9 if your cycles are long you can start testing later

exactly this! My cycles were exactly 28 days so i started around cycle day 7 that is still a little early but i wanted to make sure i didnt miss my surge
