Re: intralipids/ ivig info please
Lisa- congrats on your beautiful dd:) I do not have elevated NK cells. I have elevated thyroid antibody cells. He wanted to give me lovenox for this. Lovenox is not a treatment for high thyroid antibodies. There is no treatment for this. Plus I have a bleeding disorder so if I go on Lovenox I could bleed out. Enjoy your dd :)) thanks so much for the input:))

Karen- Hope u are feeling good:) I am still not convinced his "treatments" are legit but if it worked for u then maybe thr is something to them. Question is why didn't it work the first few times w/ him if u used same treatments? Good luck and feel good:))) xoxo
I'm sorry but you are beginning to become insulting to many of us here who are Dr. B patients. To put the word "treatments" into quotes suggests that those us who are being "treated" by him are some ignorant fools or something. Do you really think he has an overflowing practice because he's pulling some sort of covert scam on the infertile women of the world?

Re: intralipids/ ivig info please
In shock - the last thing I wana do is insult anyone on here. I had a horrible experience with dr B and have read up on Alan B. stuff. I do not have elevated natural killer cells so when he wanted to do ivig and intralipids and lovenox and prednisone I asked him why. He couldn't give me an explanation except it may help my elevated thyroid levels. I am not pregnant and many of his patients are so maybe they did have elevated nk cells but i don't so dr B treatment for me would be the same? does that make sense to u? Again I am sooooo sorry to insult u i reallyyyyy didn't mean to. I love karen and she has been a great support for me. good luck!!!

Hi! Im doing better thanks! I think it did not work the first few times because this protocol was completely different. Each IVF that I did with him was not the same. Meds were changed, some were added some removed. I went on neupogen and I did intralipids every 4 weeks till I was 12 weeks. I started on birth control pills, which I had never done before and then moved on to lupron. I had the most eggs and the best quality with this cycle, I also made it to Day 5 transfer which I usually do anyway. I also think mentally I was able to let go of the negative cycles and I had to believe that it would, and could work. Like I wrote some people are fans of Dr. Bravermans and others are not. You know I have seen numerous doctors before and Dr. Braverman just did something different that all the others did not. However, I did have an immune issue that he had to treat. I had elevated NK cells and my immune issues may have been a reason for me not getting pregnant. Maybe the combination of IVIG and the numerous iv meds of intrallipids helped because they were in my system. Again it is controversial and some doctors believe while others don't. I don't think any differently of those patients who don't agree with his choice of treatment. It's about which doctor works for you and which one gets you pregnant!!

I totally get that Dr. B is not for everyone (it took me a long while in my journey till I ended up with him), I just didn't appreciate you insinuating his methods are shady or any less "real" than what standard REs do.
Especially in your case - where you aren't getting results, I'd think you'd WANT to try something that MAY help - you just never know!
Good luck to you.
