Need some good wishes please!!!
So after over a year on the market, having to dump over $20k into this house after taking at $150k loss, over 60 days in contract, after our closing date getting pushed back 4 times, we FINALLY have a firm confirmed closing date. Bad news is, its not for another 2 weeks. If it gets delayed again, we will lose our rate lock, have to cancel our vacation to close before school starts, it will be over 30 days from our contract date, etc.
Please pray nothing goes wrong and we actually close this time!!!!!

Why do you have to cancel your vacation to close? Just give power of attorney to somebody to close for you. You do not need to be present.
I would not cancel any vacation to close on a house. That's what the lawyers are for!

Well for 2 reasons - the lawyer rather not do a POA for the purchase - he stated the sale is not a big deal but it gets more complicated with the purchase, but more because we have to move out on the day we close. They will not lease back.
