Is anyone else going to hold off TTC...
Certain months for reasons like vacation, work, etc?
I really do not want to be pregnant in peak summer months in my 8th or 9th month. So I think I might hold off TTC until February if I do not get pregnant by October. I know I say I will now, but of course if it comes down to it I will probably just keep trying.

Nope, we were going to put it off for the next 2 months for Aflac reason but, we dont care we want a baby So TTC will continue

ETA: To answer the question, no. I do not plan to go on vacation or do any other special events and I dont mind being 8mths pregnant in the summer  I just want a baby already...nothing is going to stop me!

My family wants to plan a big reunion vacation next year, so that is part of the reason i think I might hold off for a few months if it doesn't happen by Fall.

I was going to not try last month because I would be due the day after my cousin's wedding that I'm in. Anyway, I decided that I wasn't going to let it stop me so we continued trying. Turns out I didn't get PG anyway last month, but did this month. I wouldn't let those things stop you. All the girls on here told me not to put my plans on hold. Things will happen the way they're meant to

We're just going to keep trying. Fingers are crossed that it happens at the end of the summer/beginning of fall...but it is what it is and #1 priority is to have a baby (no matter what the birthday is!)

I hope my question did not come out insensitive. My main reasons are the family reunion, as I only see my parents twice a year, and not that I care so much about being pregnant in the summer, but I have another child, and I can't keep him cooped up in an apartment all summer long.
I hope I did not hurt anyone by asking this question.

no, just hope i don't have a december baby. It's just such a hectic time of the year. And i feel like my LO wouldn't enjoy his/her birthday enough if its too close to xmas.

I cant speak for PennyCat but I dont think what you asked was hurtful. Of course, everyone's at different stages with different hardships in their lives and this question can affect some of us moreso than others. But I think its only natural to think it, and ask others if they feel the same way.
That said, as much as I'd HATE to be 8 or 9 months pregnant in this weather, I wont hold back for anything.

I did for 5 months out of fear of the unknown. Now I regret it. I'm on month 3 of ttc and even though its a short time in ttc world it feels like forever.

We will not be holding off. We waited 3 years TTC and now we have been TTC for a year. Ideally, I would get pregnant in the next 2 months, but I doubt that will happen as we are just going to meet with a RE next week.

Nooo I wasn't offended at all!! Honestly had I not had the journey I did ... I'd probably say I'd love to have a spring baby because I do believe that's the "perfect" time.... but given everything I've been through, I still stand by my belief that there any time will be the perfect time, as long as it happens!!
I know my journey is not typical and no, I wasn't offended at all

No..I feel when it happens its meant to happen and you only get that small window each month. Ideally, I would love a spring or summer baby to have parties outside, but I am not going to hold off TTC so that happens.

We plan to start ttc in December . IF we get pregnant right away that would make me 9 months right smack in the heat of the summer but that's IF it happens right away. Also b/c I make 5years@ my job in January and I get my 12 weeks of maternity leave.
