Nesting like a psycho...anybody else??

Dh and I closed on our house on April 29th...we started changing things and ended up redoing the entire house. Good news is I love the way everything looks, bad news is there are a lot of loose ends to finish up. Since the school year ended, all I do is clean, and clean and clean....the same stuff. Even if the house is spotless. I'm waiting for dh to finish the nursery (only has to hang and paint the closet door) so I can start organizing/washing Bean's stuff. I'm trying to be patient with finishing the little things in each room but i'm starting to lose my mind. Not being able to put everything away, combined with tools left around are making me crazy. I have never been a neat freak, i like things clean but not sterile and lately, I have been a crazy cleaning lady....please tell me i'm not the only one.

no, you are not the only one! I am only going to be 19 weeks this week and I have been nesting like crazy too. I want to clean and throw everything out lol! Still waiting for DH to start the nursery and it is driving me crazy that we have not started painting yet.

Boy do i understand. We too bought another home & renovated the entire thing. We are finally coming to a close & still have afew loose ends. But overall all is good now. Starting to put things away in Nursery etc. But the cleaning I AM A CLEAN FREAK we both are i admit it. lol So i have now hired a cleaning lady every week to come in. It helps so much! I LOVE IT. That way im not breaking my back and i only have to go over things not do the hard scrubbing like i was doing on my hands & knees. I totally recommend it.

Youre definitly NOT the only one! Since the school year is over all I do is clean, and clean and then clean somemore..then I complain to dh that the house is messy, when really its spotless! I feel like a crazy girl, lol

I didnt feel the nesting urge until last week. Once the Hub finished the nursery and it was my turn to wash, fold and put away all the colthes, toys and misc baby stuff. Oh and decorate

Of course now thet my feet are 3x their normal size and Im supposed to have them propped up all night, I nest...figures. I cant sit still!

People keep asking me, but I'm normally one of those people that can't stand the house unless it's clean anyway, so I wouldn't know the difference. Although this morning I got the strong urge to go to my mom's and completely reorganize her recipes (they are seriously all over the place), so that may be it!

I did for a while, and now it's kicked back in full force knowing my c section date.

I can fully appreciate anyone with an OCD cleaning habit. I know it's clean but in my head I hear "It needs to be cleaner!"

I need to remind myself, my son will not come home, take a look around and say "Mom, this is simply unacceptable. I cannot stay here"

I felt the same way ......hubby was gutting the nursery and re-doing it head to toe....there were tools and stuff everywhere...

I couldnt WAIT until he was done!!!!

I wanna clean and do stuff....but I find im running out of energy REALLY quick these days!!!
