Re: Fertile After delivery
It must be true b/c I never ovulated/got AF on my own while TTC (PCOS) and 7 weeks to the day after I delivered, AF showed up! Guess my body finally figured out what to do...

There are a few rules to how BF makes it less likely you'll get PG, but none are fool-proof and shouldn't be used as BC if someone doesn't want another.
- You have to be BF exclusively - no pumping, no supplementing - You should not have had your AF return - Your child should not be eating any solids
Something else, I forgot
Point is, all these things make it less likely that you'll ovulate but you don't know when the first time you will ovulate will be b/c you will get your AF 2 wks after that - KWIM? I had a friend that used BFing as BC. SHe was PG 6 months PP b/c she ovulated - AF never returned.
teh other rule is NO pacifier! baby has to be comfort nursing from you only!
Wow, that's so interesting. Why is that?

My brother and I are 12 and a half months apart. My mother's response to that when we were older was, "Breastfeeding is NOT a form of birth control!" It can happen!
My co-worker says the same thing. Her DDs are 13 months apart!
