The cycles are long but supposedly really efficient in terms of water and power usage. The normal cycle is between 40-50 minutes. I use the allergiene cycle for my DS' clothes and it's 2 hours long!

Ugghh! It always takes 57 minutes. I feel like it takes forever. Sometimes I do a speed wash which is around 20 minutes but often times it doesn't spin the water out enough.

I don't have an LG one but, do you have it on extra rinse or something? We have a Maytag steam and our normal cycle is 50 minutes - and then add 10 minutes for extra rinse.
