where to buy premade meals
I'm due in august and I'm already falling apart. I'm not talking about grocery store frozen food, but something that's semi-freshly made and kid friendly.
Im in huntington and would like to avoid going too far
TIA

What about Costco? Rotisserie chicken, the fish, the pasta all in the refrigerator section near the produce.

There is Dream Dinners in E. Northport. It maybe hard for you to get there and "make' up the dinners - but they can do it for you and you just pick it up.
The food is awesome and they have kid friendly meals.

Re: where to buy premade meals
Uncle Guiseppe's and Whole Foods have the best premade meals according to my kids. We are on the run with sport and activities Mon-Fri and do a lot of fresh premade stuff.

Re: where to buy premade meals
What premade is there at Trader Joes? Maybe I'm missing something. (Not freezer)
fairway is awesome, and my OB is close, but what to get? At that "bar"? I know they have the pasta section, but I would still have to put something together with that right?
PB - what do you get at Whole Foods...it's out of the way, but if you recommend something, I could make an excuse to go by.
my coworker told me about Uncle Guiseppe's - what do you guys recommend...which is the closest to Huntington?
I have thought about the E Northport Dinners place - I went to look and there was nothing that my kids would do, but i know they change menus - I have to keep looking back - it's also good to know they make for you

The closest Uncle Giuseppe's to you would be Smithtown. They have tons of premade meals- pastas, zitis, pizzas, chicken marsala/francaise, eggplant parm, etc.

They have some really great things there that you would only need to cook/heat...they have really expanded their pre-prepared foods in the refrigerator section.

The frozen meals at trader joe's have very few preservatives and are relatively healthy.

At Whole Foods my kids love the pre-made chicken dinner. It's half a rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and a steamed veg, usually carrots but sometime broccoli or string beans. They also love the pot pies (fresh) and the steamed salmon meal which is the same as the chicken, just with salmon. There are lots of other things too, but we haven't tried them (yet ).
At Uncle G's we get stuffed chicken with asparagus and cheddar, chicken marsala, baby back ribs, flounder oregonata and more pasta dishes than I can name. It's all very good and the boys love it. The closest one to you is in Smithtown. Let me know when/if you're going... maybe we can coordinate a shopping date.
