TMI (sorry!) Discharge Question

I will be 33 weeks tomorrow and this morning, I noticed that my discharge is a yellow color. I normally have discharge but it has not been this color before. Last week, I thought I might have a UTI, but they checked my urine and it came back negative. Do you think this is normal? Should I call the office and explain the discharge? TIA!!! Chat Icon

I am not as far along as you but I have been having a lot of discharge the whole time. Did you as well? This is normal right?

Re: TMI (sorry!) Discharge Question

I had it early on but that was because of the progesterone insert. But now I have been off of those for a while and I still have it.

Re: TMI (sorry!) Discharge Question

i'm further along (due in 3.5 days) but yes...discharge does get heavier and might even have a tint at times. generally greenish tint can indicate an infection wether it be urinary or bacterial vaginosis or other. I wouldn't worry too much but you can def mention it to your dr. when I mentioned a change in color of discharge to ob he didn't seem too concerned. just said your hormone levels are all over and this is normal...fortunately studies find that infections such as BV do not affect the fetus and trying to treat it now would probably just be uncomfortable for me...so if i still saw it once baby was born we could treat it then (it went away on its own...discharge has changed amount, tint and consistency several times throughout pregnancy...completely normal) also, as you get further along in another month or so...expect your discharge to possibly become more like EWCM but alot as you may lose your mucous plug in pieces over time (i know its gross but it will kind of look like gooey snot)

Thank you so much! I tend to over-worry but as long as I know that it could change a bit, I will just mention it to my OB when I go next week.
