Men on the Move
I posted earlier for recommendations for moving companies. MOTM came to our apartment yesterday to look at what we have and get a quote.
Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? TIA

I am pretty sure MOTM are the ones DH's company used to move our stuff from storage when we returned home from Ireland. Are they located on Little Neck Prkwy? If so they are the ones. I had no complaints, they were fast and professional.

I'm not sure if they are located on that specific parkway but they are in
Brooklyn - Queens, Long Island and
NYC - Bronx

We used them. They even packed us up. Started around 8:30 and they left us in the new place around 5:30. 3-4 guys. It was over a $1000, but we were happy.

really- they even packed??? I can pack- I just need the big stuff moved- and the palsma TV not damaged- that is my only concern

Yeah. We came from a closet (seriously, it was tiny!!!) but we had a lot of ****, which they packed. We had a few boxes before hand and packed along with them, but it took them a good 4 hours. We also were moving an hour away to a 4th floor walk up, so moving us into the apartment took a long time. They were really very good with the furniture. We did have to sign a 'no responsibility' clause regarding our ikea furniture (particle board stuff) but one thing broke (a decorative plate). I forgot if we got insurance, but in terms of your plasma, I think you could get that. Inquire and someone will come to your apartment now and do an estimate. You can specifically ask them then. A lot of communication was via email until one of the reps came to the apartment. We looked into them a month in advance.
