Are there any green thumbs on here that can help me?
While DH and I both have a lot of vision when it comes to the interior of a house, we have absolutely NO vision when it comes to the outside, and the outside of our new house is a complete and utter disaster.
We had some guys come in over the weekend to clean up the yard, create beds, and mulch everything, but now the hard part is picking out the plants so they can come back next weekend and plant them all.
We're going to paint the exterior soon, and change the color of the shutters, but for now, I need some vision on what to plant where - this part of the house gets a LOT of sun. Any ideas on what I should plant??? Image Attachment(s):

I don't know much about landscaping, but have you thought about just planing grass along that long walkway? Less maintenance...

I would plant something easy there, for sure a perennial....I would love impatients there but you'll drive yourself nuts (and broke) planting them every year...lol
Maybe some poppies?
My neighbor has something like this and fills it with tulips and it looks AMAZING
Or some soapwort?

I'm a big fan of salvia but I'm not sure the walkway is wide enough. It's a super easy to grow perennial.

i would assume you want something low and evergreen for along the walk ways... i would suggest Bule Star Juniper:
.... very slow growing.. it will spread out along the ground but is easily trimmed back.
along the front of the house on the left side.. are you planning on keeping what is there? or do you want to rip it out and start new? your going to keep the tree?
