what is the most you'd spend on a dishwasher?
DH is convinced we spent too much, so I want ideas of where you guys stand.

Probably $1600 - 1700. When ours dies, I want to replace it with a 2 drawer dishwasher.

We purchased an Armana dishwasher from Home Depot. Without installation or warranty ours cost about $230. We didn't want to spend a whole lot as we are looking to relocate in the near future.

ok, I don't feel so bad now. I ended up with a KitchenAid dishwasher and spent a bit more than we planned because I really wanted the interior to be stainless steel too, and DH thought I was nuts. We've only ever had white and very basic dishwashers, so I didn't mind a little splurge. You have it for so many years, so you may as well like it, right?

Well, if our dishawasher died tomorrow, it wouldnt be in the budget right now either

We just got a Kitchen Aide dishwasher 3 weeks ago. It has the pro scrub, pro wash and pro dry. I didn't want to spend it but we couldn't agree on a dishwasher and it was the only one we found that didn't have a pull handle (we have the one with the square hole towards the top) and so it looks like it we picked it on purpose instead of trying to match our other appliances.
I think with delivery and tax it came to $1500 or $1600.
Let me tell you..I LOVE it. I washes so well and you don't hear it at all .

I just picked up a maytag stainless steel tub on clearance at HD or 275...It was originally 580...I was ecstatic!
