DC itinerary
What do you think? We're trying not to jam pack it, bc we're under the assumption we'll be going back at some point.
Friday:
Drive down from NY (leaving NY at 5 am or so)
Walk around DC
Washington Monument
Lincoln Memorial
White House
Shakespeare Museum (Folger Library)
Saturday:
Smithsonian-National Museum of American History
Nationals Game (already have tix)
Sunday:
Anything we didn't get to Friday/Walk around some more
Drive back to NY
We're staying at the Palomar in Dupont Circle..will there be parking garages around there? Is the metro pretty easy to navigate?
Also, is there anywhere fantastic we should make reservations at for Friday? Or should we just wing it?
Thanks!

Re: DC itinerary
We have both been to DC, but both want to return again as adults this time.
I would highly suggest a stop at the National Cathedral as well. It is just stunning and so are the grounds!

Re: DC itinerary
The Holocaust Museum is amazing, but it will take a lot of time to go through, so you should hit that next time.
The Vietnam memorial is right by the Lincoln, so you should definitely hit that while you are there, its very powerful.
I think the metro is very easy to navigate!

Re: DC itinerary
The metro around DC is pretty easy. I believe for the White House you need to have arranged for tickets in advance if you want to go on the tour. We have done the tour of the capitol which is very nice. I like the air and space museum of the smithsonian also. Have a good trip!
