talk to me about progesterone
from what i've read on here it can be a pretty messy ordeal in addition to strange clumping later on, right? and more craziness, right? cant wait!
How long are you on it? I start Friday and my beta's on the 28th. Do you continue it depending on your level of progresterone in your blood test results?
Anything else I need to know? I have to buy pads, which I havent done in almost 20 years!

Re: talk to me about progesterone
is it crinone? if so, i didn't find it to be that bad. i wore a pantyliner everyday but didn't have a ton of discharge. it did make me a hot mess emotionally though and it faked me out into believing i was preggo even though i am not. i was on it from my first IUI to my beta. since my beta was negative, dr. b took me off it until the next IUI....had the beta been positive, he would've kept me on. HTH!

Re: talk to me about progesterone
It's messy, but I didn't find it TOO bad. I think I'm just really used to suppositories by now though!
Are you using Crinone or the generic type?
Don't wear an actual pad.. a liner is all you need! It could mimic pregnancy signs.. I could have sworn my boobs grew.. felt twinges.. etc... so you can't read into anything!
Above all, I never found it too bad.. although the cycle I didn't use Crinone I got really bad stomach cramps. That's why I switched. I think most people are fine with it though! Oh- and the stomach cramps were nothing a little metamucil couldn't get rid of
With my first pregnancy, I used it till 9wks I think. By then the placenta produces enough progesterone on it's own.
My progesterone levels were fine, so I did not need to increase at any point.

Re: talk to me about progesterone
that's good to know that it mimics pregnancy symptoms. im pretty sure the bottle just says "progesterone", im going to have to check when I get home though.
when we missed my O date last month, my progesterone was 60, so I'm hoping for great news in 10 days!

I think I use the generic. I don't have an applicator and mine looks like earplugs (from Kraupners). The first few months were a pain but then I really got used to it. I never had clumps or anything, just a little discharge a few hours after I put them in. Def not as bad as they looked!

I've been having pretty serious stomach cramps this week and im not sure if its from O or from being constipated that and the bloating kind of subsided today, so I guess I should expect it back!!!! thanks!

I used them at night and laid down immediately. It cuts down on the leakage!!

I use these types too, but only at night when I am sleeping. After my shower in the am I don't find that there is any things left really. But when I first wake up I feel a little gross/messy.
I don't find that they make me any more hormonal or "pms-y" than before.
