childbirth edu/lamaze in suffolk-help
Hi Ladies,
I cannot believe what a hard time I am having finding a good childbirth/lamaze class in suffolk . My Dr. is actually in Nassau, so, we have access to a class in Manhasset but DH and I would prefer to do the class near the house.
Does anyone know of a good class or intstructor in suffolk?
Thank you so much,
Angela

I've heard great things about Baby Breaths in Islip. I think they are a vendor on here.

I went to New Baby Belly which is a vendor on here.
I remember my doctor, affiliated with LIJ gave me a hard time because it wasn't the lamaze class at the hospital, but that would've ended up being a waste of time for me because DS came so fast and I also had an epi.
I liked this particular class because they covered it all!

We are taking our classes at Good Sam. I am not sure if they offer the classes to those not delivering there but it's worth a shot. We are going to the Caring for your baby class tonight and then we are taking lamaze in July.

Re: childbirth edu/lamaze in suffolk-help
Thanks ladies,
I am leaning towards Good Sam. I left a message. I also looked up a few older strings and a lot of women all said Good Sam.
Its funny I called CFA and maybe the woman on the phone was having a bad day but she was kinda rude. I just wanted to know when the next class was and she was adamant that she would mail me information blah blah blah...I had just explained to her that I'm almost 32 weeks and wanted to book asap. Nonetheless, it just kiinda left a bad taste in mouth.
Stony brook? That's funny I called a number from the web a couple weeks ago and it was like the pathology department. Today I called the hospital and they said they did not offer lamaze classes. Even if they do, this level of disorganization makes me a bit skeptical.
Thanks for your help.

I agree! We booked our lamaze through her because she taught our Childbirth classes at Southside Hospital. We enjoyed it there as well. Maybe try Southside? We just called and they booked us no problem. I took the breastfeeding class there as well.

Had my class yesterday and I have to say it was very informative! We did probably 1 1/2 hours worth of breathing and meditation techniques. While it doesn't seem like alot, it definitely was more than enough. We did massage to which was great! The teacher was personable and very knowledgeable! I actually enjoyed the class very much!
