My husband is meeting with kitchen contractor

After living in a half gutted house for over a year my husband finally called the contractor I liked to discuss his plans. He is not the most expensive or the cheapest.

My problem is with cabinets. I have been to consumers, HD, a place in hauppauge, Think Kitchen and have had a custom quote. My problem is I don't want to blow my budget but when I go into these places they steer me to one brand and don't want to discuss other ones.

Maybe I should try Lowes or go with Ikea even though not thrilled with styles.

Any advice?

We ended up going with a vendor on here! Dynamic kitchens...I must say the quality of his work was beyond anything you can imagine at HD Lowes etc....And his prices weren't that much higher than the big box stores. I'd check him out too!
