Reviews for Simply Fondue?
Im going there next weekend for a bachlorette party and just wondering if anyone has been there. Some of the reviews online aren't the greatest.

Re: Reviews for Simply Fondue?
I liked the food. BUT It takes forever to cook ( esp since I am paranoid )
We were there with three people and it took THREE hours to get through everything. . . . if I were to go back I would do drinks and dessert or maybe cheese, chocolate and drinks only
The meat part kind of grossed me out but I got over it.

This exactly. I went for dinner and thought for the amount of food you got and having to do all the work yourself, it was WAY overpriced. I would do the dessert fondue again, but cooking everything was such a PITA!

Tell me about the "meat" part....do you actually touch raw meat? With the same fingers you then eat with? How does this work? That would freak me out too.

No, you don't use your fingers. They give you fondue forks to place the raw meat in the fondue pot to cook then transfer the cooked meat to your plate. Then you eat it with a regular fork since it's larger then bite size.

Re: Reviews for Simply Fondue?
I usually go with girlfriends and we only get the saladm cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue. And some drinks.
The actual food they give you is raw meat that you cook in oil at your table IMO it is nasssty.
BUT the ambiance is awesome for a bach party and the cheese fondue and chocolate are yummy as are the cocktails so I think this is a cool venue for a bach party

Re: Reviews for Simply Fondue?
DH and I ate there with a friend about 2 months or so after they opened their great neck location. Honestly - it was just eh to okay - but far from great. I have fun going to the melting pot - but I felt that this wasn't nearly as good. I figured maybe it was b.c they had just opened and were working out the kinks but if you say the reviews aren't that great - I would say maybe my experience was more typical then.
