Another question for CBEFM users
So this is month # 2 using the CBEFM. I got a high reading on CD 16 and 17. Then yesterday I got a peak reading for CD 18. I was expecting to have to test this am and when I turned it on it was on Day 19 and peak again. Is it odd that it was peak and did not ask for a test stick. The first month it asked for a test stick on both days that it was peak. TIA!
PS- Is it possible to ovulate the day before a peak reading? I felt what I though might be ovulation pain around 6PM the day before I got the peak reading. I test in the AM.
ETA: Definitely turned on within testing window. DH was up at 545 to BD and my window started at about 6. Turned it on a whole bunch of time to keep checking.

Re: Another question for CBEFM users
That's never happened to me. Are you sure you turned it on during the testing window? It seems to me like you were a little late with turning it on and you just missed that test day.
In any event... the 2 peak days are automatic from what I understand.
Generally, ovulation can come anywhere from 12-36 hours after a peak reading. the high reading is just showing that you hormones are on the rise and the peak is about to occur.
Since you MUST test with FMU, yes it can be possible to have the surge later in the day on the last high reading day. That's why it's important to
not just during the peak times... but also the high fertile days as well.
Good Luck!!

Re: Another question for CBEFM users
If I had to guess, it sounds like you turned on the monitor after your testing window. My understanding is after your first peak day, the machine automatically sets the following day as peak and the one after that as high. This is why I don't bother testing after my first peak.
