Share what you bring or any suggestions you might have.

Re: Spinoff to eating at the beach
We went over the weekend.
I just brought cold cuts and rolls and we made the sandwiches there as we got hungry.
I also made homemade German potato salad which was delish.
I had some leftover rice/pasta with veggies that I brought for us to eat cold.
I brought chips and pretzels too.

Re: Spinoff to eating at the beach
if i bring food it's some variation of
cold cuts on rolls chips cherries grapes granola bars popcorn vodka tonic in a thermos (if you bring lime don't get any on your skin - if the sun hits your skin with lime juice on it, the skin will react and discolor)

You should have come with us to the airshow! Note that we had all the stuff for Vodka Tonic! AND.. my friend made them all so no danger of lime discoloration!!

Usually I never want anything heavy because it's so hot!
I usually make:
cheese sandwich (munster, lettuce, tom with mayo on whole wheat) a big veggie salad some sort of bean salad (chickpeas, kidney beans, peppers, cucumbers) cut up cantaloupe, watermelon slices peaches, nectarines, apricots frozen grapes pretzel flats
