Steam boat inn - Right in Mystic - DOwn the block from mystic pizza. Right on the water - very clean rooms - fireplaces and water views - free breakfast - the best muffins I have ever eaten - Free refreshments all day - and at night free cookies and Sherry.
Free parking -

we stayed at the holiday inn express and the romms are clean and big but they aren't hyatt clean. they have an indoor pool and spa and they have a better breakfast over the hyatt, but I love the hyatt. we have been there 6 times. last 5 times we have stayed at the hyatt
there is a new hotel the hampon inn and it also has an indoor pool, and it looks really nice. they are usually good hotels as well, we plan to check the rates next time we go. we also like hyatt and holiday inn express because we get the gov rate at those, not sure if hampton offers that.
we usually stay for $79 a night at the hyatt
I just don't like the breakfast there but at least you can order stuff and pay for it if you need something quick

Whaler's Inn right in Mystic. Very cute and quaint place that is pretty close to everything.
