Maine

I've always wanted to go to Maine. DH and I are thinking of taking DS there this summer along with MIL and some of my husband's aunts. They are all in from Hawaii for three weeks for DS's first birthday and we don't want to just sit around. We were thinking of a week in Maine. I have no idea where to go, where to stay, or what to do when we are there?

I would love some recommendations! thanks

Although it is touristy, we love Bar Harbor and go about once a year. The main street has great shops and going to Cadalliac Mtn. is amazing - especially early in the morning or even at night.

We went to Maine last summer. The highlights: Acadia Nat'l Park, Bar Harbor, Sunset Kayaking Tour, Great Maine Lumberjack Show (Hokey but FUNNY!), LL Bean Outlet, etc. FM me if you have any questions. It was a wonderful vacation!

Bar Harbor all the way! I live there right now and it's beautiful! Acadia National Park is fun but they just started implementing a pay fee for all over the park instead of a few places. I would def recommend Sand Beach and Thunder Hole of you go to the park. Bar Harbor is def the place to go in Maine though!
