im not going back to work

doc told me today my two weeks bed rest is pretty much going to turn into seven weeks and that i am on bedrest til i deliver. short version: baby's abdomen is measuring below 10th percentile and they want me off my feet to promote blood flow to . i am trying to just accept it and not be too sad but i have to say, it's hard. im a teacher and it feels so weird that im not going to see my kids again, and so suddenly to boot. blah. of course i will do anything to make sure my girl grows and does well so i guess i just have to adopt the "it is what it is" mentality.

I'm a teacher too, and I understand what you mean. It must be tough for your year to be over, just like that, and so unexpectedly. I'm sorry you have to leave so abruptly, but you have your priorities and is number one. I hope that the bed rest is all you need for her to grow and thrive - good luck and hang in there.

I'm sorry you wont be able to finish the year with your kids. It's worth it though in the end.
