shopping for new appliances.....
we are just starting the process of redoing our kitchen and will need a new refrigerator range and over range microwave, our dishwasher is new a GE something
looking at them today, (mostly looking at GE bc our kitchen is so small we think its best to match the best we can) I was wondering is it better to get a.....
convection range and regular over range microwave
or
regular range and an over range microwave convection oven combo?
any insight or recommendations welcome!
Thanks!

I LOVE my convection range! I would probably go that route. We also have a convection toaster oven, so for me I don't think we'd need the microwave as well.

GE owns Samsung - Over the two I would go with Samsung - We have the stainless steel french door frig, micro, dishwasher and smooth top stove. We love the appliances. Lowes ma be the cheapest place to look

If you have stainless steel and you want your stuff to match you need to go with the same make. We have GE Profile everything. We have a combo wall oven and range so we went with the regular over the stove microwave. I don't think you'd need a convection microwave but if it's not a big price difference it won't hurt.

You don't have to go all same brand to get an exact match. Some brands match up well with others.
I have a Wolf 48" range, Samsung fridge, a KitchenAid dishwasher, and a Sharp Island drawer microwave. I bought what I felt were the best products by each manufacturer. I didn't like the Samsung dishwasher. Didn't like the kitchenaid fridge. The Sharp under counter drawer microwave is one of a kind with no matching parts. And obviously no matches for the Wolf (unless I went sub zero appliances which I wasn't doing).
I think they all match good enough based on their locations in my kitchen. The Sharp is hidden under my island that you can't really see. The Wolf range is on the opposite side of the kitchen that my fridge and dishwasher is so I am not worried about matching there. My Kitchen Aid dishwasher and Samsung Fridge are next to each other. I think they match "good enough". One of these days i'll get around to taking some pics.
