Green Beans....wet.. and gross

Lately when I buy the prewashed and pacakged green beans to snack on raw.. Iopen the bag and they have slime on them and are sticky.. WT H???

I put a paper towel on the bag put them in a zip lock..nothing seems to work? any advice?

If they are wet and slimy it means they are past their prime. Check the 'best buy' date. I'd return them to the grocer and let them know they were not fresh and suitable for consumption.

If you aren't eating them within a few days of buying, you might want to try green bags. They really are pretty great!

Check the expiration date on the package.

I have noticed sometimes with lettuces and other bagged produce, they bring the old stuff to the front, dig around a little and sometimes you find the same thing with 1 week longer till it expires in the back.
