Bleu Cheese
Do you guys eat this? Are we not supposed to?
I have had it a few times with wings and the other day on buffalo chicken pizza and then I was thinking, "crap, I dont think this is pasterized."
I know anything in moderation is fine, but just wondering.

good question. I would assume crumbled blue cheese is not okay but I don't know about blue cheese dressing.
either way, I am sure if you only had it a few times you are totally fine!

99.9% the blue cheese you had is pastuerized.. and blue cheese dressing has little blue cheese and a ton of sour creme in it.. so don't worry. If that cheese made you sick, you'd know. You are fine..

Crumbles like in salads no.

My dr said any cheese was fine as long as it was pasteurized, including blue cheese. So I would def have it crumbled on a salad or anywhere else. As you can see everyone has a different answer becuase everyone's dr has a different answer so you should ask your own dr and see what he/she says

I do! I make sure to check the label for pasteurized milk as the ingredient.
Come to think of it, I've never found a bleu cheese that had unpasturized milk in it.

I was told that it was a complete NO because of the bacteria that makes it blue.
I miss it terribly, I find very little reason to eat salad now.
