Why am I O-ing so late?!

I have only been TTC DC#2 for a few months, but...in these last few months I have always gotten a positive on or about CD12. This was consistent with when I was trying for DD. I had short cycles (24-26 days) then, and still do.

I had some EWCM on CD 8 & 9, but didnt start testing until until CD10, twice a day. Never got a positive, and my EWCM went away. I skipped CD17, but tested CD18, and low and behold, i got a :), but still dont have any EWCM, which is odd for me, cuz I always do! Now, while I'm thrilled it finally came, but i just dont understand why so late?!?!? Anybody experience something similar???

i always O late..this month it was on CD19 but in the past it has been on CD24!

if this isnt normal for you maybe this month was just a wacky one?

I'm thinking your AF will be late this month. If you're Oing so late in your cycle, you'll probably still have the regular number of days b/w O and AF - which should be 10-14 days. As long as that number is consistent you don't have anything to worry about, even if your cycle length varies.

I've read that it's normal to have a longer or shorter cycle every so often.


for me all my cycles were long... I normally didn't O until CD 17-21. I actually got a BFP on the cycle where I O'd the latest!!

its so frustrating how your body just does "random" things! LOL I guess if it were that predictable, we'd all get BFP on the first try! lol

I always O late. I got a smiley on Day 19 this month. The month I got Pregnant with my DS, I O on Day 18. Some people's cycles change alot, I wouldn't be to concerned.

The month I got pregnant I had EWCM around CD8-10. I have short cycles about 24-26days. The OPK's never really seemed to work for me. Based on the EWCM I alwasy assumed I O'd by CD12.

Anyway, the month I got preg. I went to go see an RE...I was on CD15 and swore I had O'd already. They drew blood and I didn't. It turned out I was O'ing at CD18 and I had no clue. I also had low progesterone issue hence the short luteal phase and needed to go on suppositiories.

I had gotten preg. a few months prior that ended up being chemical and again I swore I O'd early. Looking back at my calendar I noticed we BD on CD18...not bc we were "trying" but just because. The whole O thing really messed me up. lol
