OPK question!
Hi ladies! As you know I'm still new to this. Got a BFN last month (our 1st month of trying) so I've been doing the OPK's with FMU this month. Is that right? because I just read something last night that said you ovulate in the AM so it's better to test in afternoon. I'm using the strips Answer Kit with the pink lines if that makes a difference.

I don't think that's true - I have ovulated at all times of the day.
From what I have read it's better to test in the afternoon because the hormone that the OPKs are testing for metabolize in your body during the day (after you wake up). That's really only true for line OPKs, I think with the digitals and the CBE monitor, you are supposed to use FMU. Check with the other ladies on here though.
WHen I tested in the morning I was close to positive, if I hadn't tested that same afternoon (when it was positive) I might have totally missed my surge).

I thought that the only test that states is accurate to use FMU is the clearblue easy Digital ones. Based on my experience even with those the FMU wasnt always giving me the everymonth. I started to use them twice a day and got the in the afternoon. The same month i got the in the afternoon, i did not get it the am the day of or day after. So i would have missed it it i wasnt testing in the afternoon. The lines one may be different but i would suggest doing twice a day if you can.

Great! Thanks so much! I'll start testing 2x a day!! I'm pretty sure I'll be ovulating in the next day or so, so I may just be in time!
