Birthcontrol and Sanity.
Did the birthcontrol pill you were on make you feel like a basket case?. Was on Ortho tri cyclen lo for 1 yr 5 mths and 20 something days (stopped taking it a few weeks ago). I feel like I gained some sanity back, not that I was too saine before . Not TTC yet, Hope you all get BFP's!!!

My BFF was on Ortho Tricyclin- lo and was VERY emotional, every month the same thing. She switched to a monophasic OCP and felt much better.
This is not uncommon with the tri phasic OCPs. I've had many pts on it and complain of feeling emotional or not themselves.
BTW tri phasic as opposed to monophasic. tri phasic has 3 diff levels of hormones throughout the month, where as monophasic has one.

i m having the opposite issue. going OFF bcp is making me crazy and gain weight

I gained abt 10/15 lbs while i was on bcps but its not really noticeable. Dnt know if that was due to me eating everything in sight..lol

Ortho Tri. LO made me nuts. I cried all the time, tantrums, & no  drive. My emotions were out of control. Took it 3 months, it did not agree with me.
I've also been on depo & yaz and had no issues at all
I'm not on anything now, obviously. The acne & heavy af make me wish I was still on something.

I was on a different birth control pill and didnt have those side effects. Sorry, that this is happening to you though.

I was on Ortho for about a year and it was probably the worst year of my life. I was actually diagnosed as having boderline personality disorder because my moodswings were that insane. It was awful. I'm so glad I realized that it was the BCP...unfortunatly it took a year to realize that.
