Kinda Personal need some opinions....
I have a 13 month old. I always wanted my kids to be close in age. I would love to have another one but I'm suppose to be starting nursing school in January. I'm a stay at home mom and I really want to have another baby. My question is, is it best to have this other baby and postpone school another year or should I wait. I figured that its better to stay home once then to start a career and get pregnant to stay home again. I hope you understand and I don't sound confusing. TIA

Thats honestly a personal choice. Everyones opinions will be different on this one but ultimately is going to be what YOU feel is right. Once you start nursing school who long will you have until you finish school?

Re: Kinda Personal need some opinions....
as PP said... personal choice but... if it was ME:
if you guys can swing it... i'd rather get the early years out of the way in one shot.
otherwise you're going to be starting all over in a year. or two. or whenever.
i'd go ahead and TTC and if for some reason you aren't pregnant by say october -- or whenever you think... then maybe go back on BC.

I'm worried about the child care and the studying with a newborn and toddler. The program is 3 semesters. But I really want one.

If you really want one then go for it. Dont let anything stop you. 3 semesters doesnt seem too bad and if you have your DH to help and support you you'll be alright. Besides, you dont know how long it will actually take you to conceive (though Im hoping not long)

Re: Kinda Personal need some opinions....
you have to do whats right for you and DH and what right for your familys lifestyle.
If it were me, I would start the nursing program and once I felt comfortable then TTC. I think for me it would be easier getting my education and training first/while TTC. IT'S NEVER GOING TO BE THE RIGHT TIME!! IMHO, so why not do both???

This is a personal choice and no answer is right or wrong. It all depends on you. If it were me i would ttc and also start school. Its amazing when you have to do it all how it will end up just happening. GL

Re: Kinda Personal need some opinions....
yay for nursing students! I am in nursing school myself (2 year/4 semester program/ and will be done with my 2nd semester in just 2 weeks, hallelujah).
I WILL say that DH and I want to start trying soon but we are waiting until at least Dec so even if it happens RIGHT AWAY (which i know it may not) I'll only be about 5 months along when I graduate. Nursing school is really hard and a LOT of work. Not just the studying and schoolwork but clinicals are physically demanding as well so that makes me nervous. Obviously we chose to get school out of the way first because I knew if we had a baby first it would have put the nursing program off a while, and we both want to move asap.
Also another tidbit FYI, which I admit also makes me nervous but I'm trying to go with the flow: a friend of mine who is in the program with me was actually in the program 2 years ago but she got pregnant and had to drop out when she was only a few months along because she became really anemic and sick. Her baby is beautiful and healthy and 2 years later she is back but she could have been working by now.
If you don't mind putting it off go for it but at the same time as a nurse you'll make good money and be able to support them better (I am assuming since you plan to do the program). Let me know if you have nursing school questions- I can't believe I'm halfway done already.
