How to choose baby stuff
I'm only 11 weeks so DH and I have time before starting to look for nursery furniture, registering for things, etc. But, when the time comes, I'd like to feel like I know what I'm doing. DH both feel that we want to get items that aren't necessarily top of the line and super $$$$, however, safety is a top priority. Is there some website or book or something that you ladies can refer me to so that when we do start looking at items, we can see reviews, ratings, etc? I know there's consumer reports but is there anything else? TIA

i have seen many ladies here refering to the Baby Bargains book. I believe that has a lot of information about all of the different products.

Baby Bargains and asking opinions here are your best bets, IMO.
Honestly, the only thing I was overly concerned about that I spent $$$ on were the carseats. Other than that, most things I just kind of got what I liked or what was middle of the road.
Wait, I'm lying...I spent $$$ on the stroller, too. But that's all because of my friend saying "nothing turns like a Maclaren" and it was stuck in my head!!! I so wish I didn't get the one I got and got a City Mini or something!!!!
