OMG!!!!
i just found out that baby girls can get what is known as their first period a couple days after the are born. they say its caused by the mother hormones!!! I aM shocked!!

Alyssa had it. It lasted 7 days.
Its very little bleeding though mixed with discharge. I knew it could happen before she was born so i wasnt shocked when it did. I was just surprised at how long she had it for. her little boobs swelled up too, the doctor said they produce milk like their mothers do. That part no one told me, my DH almost had a heart attack, he thought she had a tumor in her chest it was so big and hard, I called her pediatrician immediately and she told me about it.

same thing with us! She had like little golf balls where her boobs are. I couldn't believe it, but its normal. They went away eventually and all is flat again.

I didn't know either but then it happened and the nurses explained it all to me. I actually give all my PG friends that KNOW they are having a girl a heads up now.

I didn't know about it until the nurses told me not to be surprised when I changed her diaper if she had some discharge with blood in it.
It was moer then I expected but it went away within a few days. It freaked my DH out.
