CBEFM- test stick question

This my first cycle using the CBEFM. Today is CD9.
On CD 7 and 8 I POAS and could see the urine pass thru the little window and a blue line appeared.
Today I POAS and I can't tell if the urine went thru and there was no blue line. Anyone know if this is normal or was the stick defective? It doesn't let you retest, not to mention I already emptied my bladder so there goes my FMU. I will POAS again tomorrow, just wondering if anyone that has used the CBEFM had any insight.
TIA!!!

Did the monitor read the stick successfully? If you put it in and it gave you a reading, not an error message, I'd assume it's fine. If there was an error message, just skip it today, what else can do you.

I agree with the PP. Also, it's early enough in your cycle that even if it didn't read the stick effectively you should still be fine for the month

I think it read it- I didn't notice an error message or anything- is there typically that blue line there every time you use a test stick? Since this is my first month I wasnt sure what is normal and what isnt.

Re: CBEFM- test stick question

I'm not sure what blue line you are talking about. The one on the stick itself? They say not to look at that line or not to bother with it. So i wouldn't worry with focusing too much on it.

Did the test unit give you a reading? Like low, high or peak? Or did you get an error message? if you got an error message, the book has a section which explains those messages. If the unit gave you a reading then you are fine.

I messed up too a few times in the beginning. I used to pee on the stick... and once the stick didn't absorb enough urine for a reading... I got an error message. WELL my FMU was GONE!! So I was screwed! That taught me to start peeing in a cup and doing the dip method, which eliminated that issue. Just make sure you dip it for the time frame the instructions say to dip for.
Another time I TOTALLY forgot to test a day and that messed me up as well.

It's REALLY important to get all the tests in there accurately because if you miss one or get an error and have to skip because FMU is gone, then the machine gets wonky as well. It takes about 3 cycles to get to know you... and for each mess up it has to start all over again with getting to know you. So be careful.

Thank you. That was very helpful. I did get a low reading- no error message, so I guess I am ok. I was thinking the stick didn't absorb enough. Maybe I will try the cup method.

Re: CBEFM- test stick question

I just started using the CBEFM this month and sometimes I don't get it directly in the stream so I stop myself from going for a second to see if the stick is wet and if not then I put it back in and continue Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
