I like to have different colors to go with the duvet cover that is currently on the bed (I have 3 sets of duvets).

I have 2 sets.
I'm weird that I won't buy sheets that are white, so there are only two colors that match both duvets that I have. One is maroon and one is beige.

3 - one on the bed, one in the laundry, one in the closet. But it also saves us when we don't want to wash each week; we can wash sheets every 2 weeks but still have a clean set.
We could make do with 2 though.
