Guess I should get it checked out

So last cycle when I finally got AF it was two days of light spotting, and then one day of light flow and then another day of light spotting.
This cycle was 49 days long - I was pretty positive this was gonna be our month, but of course lots of people say that. I started AF, spotting for two days again and then yesterday a light flow for HALF a day and then spotting today.
I did some reading and found that short period could be the result of a hormonal imbalance, which of course would make pregnancy difficult as well...supporting this theory if the fact that my boobs STILL hurt today, just as bad as ever.
I called the doc and they scheduled me for an appointment next Tuesday so hopefully I can get some answers.
