For girls who have been trying for a long time now.

Like TTC for 12mts and up. Do you know why you arent able to conceive quickly? Like, have you been diagnosed with something or do you have no clue why you arent able to conceive?

Yes, we just found out it was due to DH guys.. His swimmers are not experts apparently lol
I do know that many women/men who dont get tested go on to conceive naturally and never know there may be an issue.
I assume you're asking this question to get a read on the likelihood of there being a problem if you havent gotten pg within a few months. My only advice is this-and I got this directly from taking charge of your fertility-.. take your temp (which I think you already do) for a few months and if you are confirming O and timing Chat Icon accordingly... you may want to consider having tests done after 4-5 months.
But honestly, it's COMPLETELY normal for it to take up to 18 months to get pg. At the end of the day you have to listen to what's right for you and only you can answer that.
HTH!!! And good luck! Im rooting for you!

It's normal, depending on age to TTC for some people to take a year. There is something like a 15% chance each month at age 30-35. (I forget the actual ages)

I pretty much knew from the beginning that I had a blocked tube, but we TTC on our own for a few months before going in for surgery. Normal protocol when you have a lap surgery and endo is to TTC naturally for 3 months then move on to meds. The Dr. still thought it was within reason that I hadn't gotten pregnant in those 3 months or the one month on meds, until I had a chemical (which can and turns out, does have to do with my endo).

But having endo doesn't mean that you can't conceive normally. Sometimes it affects hormones and quality or is an autoimmune issue as in my case (so they think so far).

Aw, thanksChat Icon Yea, Im getting a little nervous I guess. Its been about 6mths now and although I know that is perfectly normal Im just afraid that 6mths will soon be 1year... I do temp and use OPKs and my temps. def. do show that I am O'ing. My cycles are regular and have always been so from what I am visually seeing I shouldnt be having a problem but I just feel it should of happened already. There were some months where timing was off but then other months timing was perfect and still nothing. Ugh, I guess Im just getting over my head with thinking about it too much. So, do you think Drs will start testing if its only been 6mths?

Depending on the Dr., they may send your DH for a SA now if you ask. Some are more proactive than others or it's just nothing to them to give you a script to give you peace of mind.

Mine asked us if we wanted one when we just mentioned we would TTC soon. We didn't end up having it done til about 2 months after my tube was unblocked and it came back normal.

Yeah, I have PCOS so I don't ovulate regularly. Althought the last couple months due to metformin and a ton of supplements I have been Oing, at least every other month. DH also had some male factor issues but with vitamins and supplements his last SA came back better than normal.

It does depend on the Dr. My Dr gave me the script at 6 months in.. I wasn't ready yet b/c I wanted to give us more time. He basically said "some women want every test in the world done just to calm their anxiety... others take a less proactive approach and wait the full 18 months. It's up to the individual". And for me, that was the right way to go. you sounds like you believe all is ok. If I were you, I might put a timeline on it just to calm yourself... like, if it doesnt happen by ________ then you'll start going forwrad with testing. JMO though... again, it's different for everyone!
