Suffolk Girls: Who would you Recommend?
DH and I have been ttc since my miscarriage for three years now. We have had alot of health issues but still have been trying. I presenly go to Dr. San Roman of RSofNY. And don't feel like we have made much progress. Who do you see and why? TIA!!

Re: Suffolk Girls: Who would you Recommend?
I see Dr. Keningsberg at LI IVF after starting at RSofNY as well. I just felt that the office wasn't a good fit for me. My main concern was that they weren't agressive enough with my treatment after I had stated many times I wanted to be more agressive. I felt like I wasn't progressing at all there.

Where in Suffolk are you located? I see Dr.Braverman who is located in Woodbury. Yes that's technically Nassau, though depending on where you are in Suffolk you may want to check him out..
Dr.B specializes in multiple losses. Besides that, he is an AMAZING doctor and person.

Re: Suffolk Girls: Who would you Recommend?
Thanks everyone!! I am scheduling consults with different docs for later in May. Did anyone ever switch RE? And if you did how was it getting your records from your old RE?

I went from my original RE to another for a consult - and i was upfront with my RE and told them i was doing it to get a 2nd opinion. They were totally fine in sending all my records over (you need to give them a few days notice). Then when i decided to go back to my original RE, i had the records from the 2nd dr sent back to them as well.
I think they understand, and its your perogative to go to whomever you want

Re: Suffolk Girls: Who would you Recommend?
I go to RS of NY in West Islip. I went through a period where I felt like they weren't doing everything they possibly could have. I requested a copy of my records and got a 2nd opinion from Dr. Herschlag at NSUH. He basically told me the same exact thing as Dr. SanRoman and Dr. Stelling. I decided to stay with RS of NY and I'm very happy I did.
My experience with RS of NY is you have to be prepared for your appointments. You have to ask questions. They assume you know what they're talking about. Whether that's right or wrong, you have to be your own advocate. Speak up when they're telling you something you don't understand.
If you still want to change, I'd recommend Dr. Herschlag. He was very nice and the office staff and nurses were great. It's definitely worth going for a 2nd opinion if you feel like your doctor is not a good fit.
Good luck!

Re: Suffolk Girls: Who would you Recommend?
another Dr Keningsberg patient here. I really like him and his staff as well. My whole experience there was a great one. When I first met with him I told him I wanted to be aggressive and that's exactly how we did it. Good Luck!
