moms of girls- recommend your hair clips

my DD's hair is starting to get very long but is still too thin to put in a pony tail. can anyone recommend their DD's hair clips to keep it out of her eyes?

TIA

I like the ones that are alligator clips lined with grosgrain ribbon...if her hair is really thin, sometimes you can get them lined with velour ribbon as well...I found that they are easy to make yourself and very cheap, though its a heck of a lot easier to just buy them from ebay!

Re: moms of girls- recommend your hair clips

I use little plastic clips with teeth and little tiny rubber bands that I got at Claire's.

I don't leave the clips in her hair for naps or car rides for fear of her taking them out and choking. The rubber bands I leave in for the whole day, they are tiny like the ones worn with braces. If I want to put a decorative bow in for a special occasion I pull it up with a rubber band and then put the bow over it.

I use the alligator clips also. I find a lot of super cute ones at Walmart. I also use the rubberbands that are plastic, not the fabric ones. Those seem to stay better.
