Is there such a thing as a coincidence?
Ok, this is weird. I just started TTC this month. I thought I had sex when ovulating, etc. My period is now 5-plus days late. I went to the doctor two days ago for a blood test and it came back negative. My period is never late. What kind of coincidence is this? I asked my doctor and she presumed to tell me I am under stress, which changed my cycle. Um, no I am not. My life is very happy and relaxed. Even when I dealt with major stress my period was never late. It seems like telling a woman she is under stress is the standard catchphrase doctors use when they don't know an answer. Anyway, I just think this is quite an annoying coincidence. I wonder when I will even get my period now. The only other answer I could think of is maybe I ovulated later in my cycle. The only thing that changed this month in my diet/lifestyle is that I started taking folic acid supplements. However, all research says this helps you get pregnant. So bizarre! Grrrr.
Also want to add a little TMI.. but, every day I think I am getting my period, but the fluid is white. What's up with that?

You're probably just about to get your period (re: white fluid)
And it may not be stress but any time you change anything about your body or your routine your period may be late.
The blood test confirmed... so try to relax and wait it out, and try again next month.

I have learned over the past 2 years of TTC that nothing is normal but everything is normal.
I was never late until a few months ago. was never early til a few months ago. Never spotted til somewhere along this journey. Never had symptoms til I actually paid attention to my body.

Yea, I hear what everyone is saying. That's why it's all so bizarre. In this day and age, women are always working, going to school, etc. that you never think about your personal fertility until you decide one day, gee, I'd like to have a baby now.. then, it's not so easy. It's like what Charlotte from SATC said after she realized how hard it was to conceive. She said, "I should have been screwing everyone in sight." Then Samantha responded, "coulda, woulda, shoulda."

ttc is hard..it can screw with ur mind bc u r now seeing and feeling this u may or may not have had before
and stress can def mess with ur cycle..and it can be stress u dont think is stress..justthe stress of a month trying to have a baby

ok, now I actually want my period. I am 10 days late and am so bloated it's not even funny!! This is getting so bizarre. My boobs are huge and my stomach is just protruding. I usually have a flat muscular stomach. My stomach now is hard, but extended. I believe my husbands sperm altered my hormones, although not actually get me preggo...yet. Once I get my period, at least I can start trying again.

Right there with you. 7 days late. BFN's and still nothing except lots of bloating. I want it to come already. I told DH last night and he asked if i am pregnant who the father is since we have been really careful last month.
The only good thing about it being late this month now AF wont be due the day of my sisters wedding next month.
