Spotting at 4/5 DPO?

HAs anyone had this, or other mid cycle spotting and have had a medical explanation for it?

I swear, I never had any random spotting since TTC and I am not sure what's up.

I did check my records from MMC.com, and I had similar spotting on the same DPO when I got pregnant with DD. But I was on progesterone which I remember my doc saying at the time could cause some irritation on the cervix.

I am hopeful, but am worried I may have something else-- like a cyst or something like that. I will go to my doc if I don't get pregnant this cycle and explore the spotting-- but what are the other causes of spotting??

i don't want to give you false hope, but just wanted to share my experience. The cycle I got my bfp I had a little bit of brown spotting on 5dpo. Got my bfp on 12dpo.

its a little early for implantation spotting although its possible. it could also be low progesterone which is the more common cause for post ovulation spotting. generally being on progesterone wouldnt make you spot - in fact, it does the opposite.
