Where did you get your thermometer?
And do you like it? I have 2, neither of which I like very much. The 1st one is from target and it seems to be giving me the same temperatures all the time. For example it'll be either 98.17 or 98.33 a bunch of times but I'll never ever see any temperature in between that. I think it's progammed to give specific temperatures. My other thermometer only goes to the 10th degree and it beeps every 4 seconds to ensure that it's placed in my mouth correctly. I take my temp at 7:30 and on weekends it'll wake DH up if it keeps beeping. With that very long explanation, plese recommend your thermometer and where you bought it.

I have the beeping one and I like it. The way I see it, if I'm waking up every day to take my temp to help us get PG, DH can deal with the beep!

I have one that beeps when it's done only. I got it on Amazon.
However I tend to get numbers like that as well - 97.18 and 97.33 but never 97.16 or 97.35... I think they probably do have some sort of built in system that it reads whatever temp it's closest to. Some charting software rounds it off anyway though so I figure as long as you are getting a reading that is close enough, the chart will still give you an idea as to what is going on. Here's hoping at least!! Otherwise I should start shopping for a new one too!

I got mine at Rite Aid. It's digital, purple (don't remember the brand), and was about $9. It beeps when it's done.
Don't switch therms mid-cycle; it'll make it harder to track O. I got the same or similar temps all the time. Not a big deal. The point of temping is to make sure you're Oing. As long as you see that, and that you're timing BD correctly, the rest of the numbers don't matter so much.

I bought mine at target and I had the same issue it was always the same few temps. temping never worked for me

i have the BD thermometer.
it doesn't give to the hundredth degree but it says it isn't necessary?
it beeps when its done and stores the last temp.
i got it off amazon.

I got mine on Amazon and have no problems with it. It beeps once my temp. has been taken and it saves the temp. so I can go back to sleep
