mild ohss?
Can someone tell me the symptoms? Ever since my IUI I have not been feeling right, but I don't know if these are just normal side effects of all these meds.

Re: mild ohss?
Both times I did IVF (retrieval) I developed OHSS. I felt extreme swelling in the belly and the area below my belly button was rock hard and somewhat pushed out. Most of the meds you take make you feel very bloated, but that is really different than OHSS. 5 weeks after retrieval my ovaries are still very swollen and somewhat painful, but very bearable. How many follicles did you have? Good Luck!!!!

Re: mild ohss?
I had OHSS during my last IUI. I felt extremely bloated, pressure in my ovaries and looked 5 months pregnant. It was so uncomfortable. I was hospitalized for 5 days, because the fluid built up so much I really thought it was my appendix. Feel better!

Re: mild ohss?
i had it twice, once after a cancelled hyperstimulated cycle and then again during IVF.
the first time it was more mild. i was extremely bloated and there was a lot of pressure in my abdomen, so much that it hurt to bend and put my shoes on. the second time it was more pronounced in that i gained 9lbs of fluid in 2 days. everything in my entire abdomen was sore and even walking on concrete hurt. it lasted for 2 straight weeks after my BFP (HCG makes it worse).
its normal to be uncomfortable after a stim cycle - even if you felt fine previous cycles. the weight gain is really one of the determining factors of OHSS. either way if its really just mild uncomfortability there wont be much anyone can do for you. i found gatorade and really taking it easy helped.

Re: mild ohss?
Thank you. I have gained about 2-4 lbs since Wednesday and have just been uncomfortable when bending or even walking. Its nothing excruciating at all just very uncomfortable.
I had 3-5 follies that could have been mature I believe with w bunch of smaller ones.

Re: mild ohss?
I had mild OHSS from an iui cycle. It was awful. I was so bloated and it hurt to walk. Basically, I was told to eat salty foods and drink gatorade. If I gained more than 5lbs in a day, I was to call them asap as I might have needed to be drained.
And that was mild, so I can't imagine what severe is like. I really hope you don't have it.
